Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation (KTPO), a Joint Venture Company of India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) and Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) has major facilities at Bangalore for holding exhibitions and events.  KTPO facilities are located at Plot No. 121, Road No. 5, EPIP Industrial Area, Whitefield, Bangalore 560 066,  with an area of 50 acres.   The details of exhibition complex of KTPO and infrastructure can be viewed in website www.ktpo.org. 

 

KTPO plans to expand its activities in the premises for optimum utilization of space as per permitted FAR. KTPO intends to engage an Architect Consulting Organization / Firm for preparation of Master Plan for taking up expansion in a phased manner.  The additional facilities such as – convention centre, incubator, food court, office space, utility shopping / commercial area, amphi theatre with cellar green room, multi-level underground parking / overground parking etc., would be included in the Master Plan.  Architect Consulting Organizations / Firms are required to examine the current usage and provide a Master Plan for expansion.  They may visit the KTPO premises to get first hand idea of the current usage and possibilities before submission of EoI.

 

Architect Consulting Organizations / Firms must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible for short-listing :

(a)        Should have five years proven experience in preparing architectural plan / master plan for commercial complexes, malls, multiplexes, convention centres, exhibition centres, office complexes, indoor stadia, etc..

(b)        Should have minimum average turnover of Rs. 500 lakhs per annum during the last three years. 

(c)        Should have prepared at least three architectural plans / master plans for construction of buildings / complexes in India (i) with project cost exceeding Rs.100 crores each, in the last five years and (ii) for a total built up space covering area in different floors not less than 46,500 sq.mtrs.

(d)        Should have completed a minimum of three large public / institutional buildings of area not less than 23,250 sq.mtrs. of built-up space.

(e)        Should be fully familiar with local building laws, rules, development authority’s regulation and municipal bye-laws.   For this purpose, should be consultant for at least two completed projects in Bangalore metropolitan area within the last           3 years for built up area of not less than 10,000 sq.mtrs. is essential.

(f)         Should be able to commit an expert team of professionals with relevant experience required for taking up this work.

(g)        Should have office / branch office in Bangalore with minimum of ten professionals including six graduate architects and a senior architect with at least 10 years of experience.

Expression of Interest will be screened by a Committee which will shortlist eligible Architect Consulting Organizations / Firms for pre-qualification.  Short-listed Architect Consulting Organizations / Firms will be intimated to participate in the Tender for selection. Short-listed Architect Consulting Organizations / Firms are required to participate in the tender process in two parts, for final selection by an Evaluation Committee. 

Interested Architect Consulting Organizations / Firms may submit their EoI giving their background, PAN, latest audited statement of accounts & relevant documents in proof of their eligibility criteria by 12.3.2010, 5 pm, at the following address.
